Method:
Soil improvement using the Oshbek micropile method (simultaneous drilling and grouting) to reduce settlement beneath the foundation of a 16-story building.
Project Specifications:
Design and execution of micropiles with a diameter of 18 cm and a length of 17 meters
Total micropile volume: 7,000 linear meters
Major Challenges:
Execution of operations inside a 5-meter-deep excavation, one meter above the foundation elevation
Installation of micropiles between the existing retaining structures
Completion of the entire operation within a 3-month period.
